Prior to her time in Nashville, Jill was a sports anchor and reporter for KCWX and “Sports2Nite,” San Antonio’s only 30 min sports show. While in San Antonio, TX, Jill covered the Spurs, Cowboys, Texans, and Astros and had the privilege of covering both the 2019 and 2020 World Series, as well the NBA and NFL playoffs. On top of her sports role, Jill was also a host for the Texas travel show “YOLO TX” where she visited cities all over the Lonestar State and highlighted the best places to eat, drink, and have fun!
This is not Jill’s first time covering sports in the Volunteer State. Prior to her time in Texas, Jill was the Weekend Sports Anchor for WRCB in Chattanooga. Jill covered UT and UTC athletics, the Chattanooga Lookouts, and Chattanooga FC. One of her most memorable moments was covering the 2018 National College Championship between Alabama and Georgia in Atlanta. Jill was also named AP Sportscaster of the Year in 2016.
Born and raised in Aliso Viejo, California, Jill grew up outdoors and always part of a team. She was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to play Division I softball for East Carolina University where she played collegiately for four years. She received her Bachelors in English and Masters in Teaching at ECU, and once finishing her collegiate career, she shifted focus to her other passion: sports broadcasting. Jill started her career as an intern for WNCT before becoming their weekend news producer and Friday Night Football Reporter.
In her free time, you will most likely find Jill watching sports as a fan and eating nachos. Jill also loves playing just about any sport, and recently picked up her new love, pickle ball.
