Brett Luna

Meteorologist

Brett Luna is thrilled to be back in his home state of Tennessee. He was born and raised in west Tennessee (around Memphis) but now calls the Midstate home.

He made two other stops before coming to Nashville as the FOX 17 weekend meteorologist.

His first job was in Greenville, Mississippi at WABG where he was the morning meteorologist for most of his time.

After spending more than 2 years in Greenville he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a meteorologist position at KOB4, where he worked for more than 3 years.

He’s covered all sorts of weather during his time in Mississippi and New Mexico from tornadoes and flooding in the Mississippi delta to the 2 largest wildfires in the history of New Mexico along with blizzards and severe weather.

While not working Brett loves to be outdoors. He misses the mountains and incredible outdoors of New Mexico but is happy to be back around water.

For most of his life he has been into water sports – waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakeskating, etc and was on the Mississippi State Waterski and Wakeboard team.

Brett attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi where he received his degree in Broadcast Meteorology.

He loves to eat, so if you have any food recommendations for him, let him know!
