Alex Apple grew up in Nashville with family across the midstate. Alex has previously lived and worked as a journalist in Burlington, Vermont and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

He spent 2016 covering the presidential election, starting with a focus on Bernie Sanders' rise from political oddball to progressive darling. His political work has been featured by several publications including Politico, the Associated Press and Dallas Morning News.

Throughout the years, Alex has also covered stories like a 23-day manhunt for two escaped murderers in Northern New York and the largest EB-5 investment fraud in United States history.

Alex is from Brentwood, attended Montgomery Bell Academy and went to Texas Christian University where he studied at the Schieffer School of Journalism. Mark him down as a big fan of the Titans and Predators and as a winner of the 2017 reality show, Stranded with a Million Dollars.
