Before coming to Fox 17, AJ was a Multimedia Journalist in Chico, CA.

In his time there, he covered major, national stories such as the Northern California Wildfires, the breaking of the Oroville Dam Spillway, and the search for Sherri Papini, among many others.

Originally from Russia, AJ came to America when he was 11-years-old and landed in Philadelphia, PA. He attended St. Joseph’s Prep high-school – of which he was the Vice-President – and he was also a member of the rowing team, where he was lucky enough to compete at the Henley Royal Regatta in England.

He went on to study Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Syracuse University and was recruited to be part of its Division 1 Rowing team. In his time there, he traveled to Concord, NH. and New York, NY. to cover presidential candidates Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, and Donald Trump during the primary elections.

After graduating, he moved to Northern California – where he spent nearly two years – before coming to The Music City.

AJ is also a professionally certified editor with special knowledge of syntax, semantics, grammar, and compelling sentence structure.
