NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have a new head coach.

Tennessee Titans and Mike Mularkey agree to "part ways"

“This is an incredible opportunity and one I have been preparing for my entire football life. I am excited to get to work and that work starts now. Everything we do is going to be geared towards winning and being physical.," said Vrabel.

Vrabel's playing career included three Super Bowl wins.

Titans Owner Amy Adams Strunk said, “I am excited to have Mike Vrabel joining our organization as our new head coach. Mike has a commanding presence and a deep knowledge for how he will attack this head coaching opportunity."

The Titans went 9-7 in 2017, and lost to the Patriots in the second round of the playoffs. The team agreed to part ways with Coach Mike Mularkey following the loss.

There will be a press conference on Monday.
