The Tennessee Titans announced Thursday they've selected an architectural firm to begin turning designs for a domed stadium into construction plans.

Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, TVS Architecture & Design will be on the stadium project team as "Architect of Record," meaning they will work closely with the Titans' design team MANICA and put construction plans into place. Once blueprints are created for the existing renderings, the team can start pre-construction work.

After months of heated debate, Metro Nashville Council approved a deal in late April to scrap Nissan Stadium and build a new $2.2 billion enclosed stadium.

“We were immediately impressed by TVS’ portfolio and are excited to welcome them to the project team,” said Titans Sr. Vice President Gil Beverly, “They bring a significant breadth of experience in large-scale venues and share our dedication to delivering a game-changing, high-character facility to Nashville.”

Construction for the new stadium is expected to break ground in early 2024 and open in 2027.
