UVALDE, Texas (WOAI/KABB) — Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District will get updates on two major topics during Monday night's meeting.
One of those topics is the new elementary school the district is building to replace Robb Elementary, where 19 students and two teachers were killed on May 24 during a mass shooting.
A schedule has been made to show when the community meetings, out of district site tours and when a design – as well as implementation plan – will happen. The schedule also shows they will present everything at a special board meeting on Nov. 16.
The Uvalde CISD board is also expected to get an update on the security measures that have been installed on school campuses, including fences, cameras and secure entrances.
There are still some campuses where no progress has been made.
