Woman arrested, charged for stabbing man in chest while driving on I-440
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
Metro Police responded to a stabbing at the Gale Loft Apartments in Berry Hill around 10:30 p.m. on May 20.
According to police, the victim and suspect got into an altercation while riding on I-440. The female driver pulled a knife and stabbed the male passenger in the chest, pulled over, and let him out of the vehicle.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the victim was in surgery for approximately seven hours and remained in critical condition afterward.
The victim advised officers that the suspect went by the nickname of Fye. She was positively identified as the suspect in a photo lineup.
The woman, identified as Latasha Jiles, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on on May 25.
