UPDATE: Nashville man confesses to shooting wife, surrenders to police

UPDATE: Cleveland Lamont Bell, 45, has been charged with criminal homicide for shooting and killing his wife, 42-year-old Tonya Davis, at their home, according to Metro Nashville police. Bell reportedly told police that he shot his wife during a heated argument. He is being held at the Davidson County Jail without bond.


NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman is killed at a home in Nashville tonight.

Metro Nashville police responded to a shooting on Southside Court in the Edgehill area at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. They confirm the victim, a woman, is deceased.

A possible suspect is in custody after he turned himself in, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
