Woman charged for causing crash on I-65 that left passenger critically injured
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
A woman was arrested, charged for causing accident on I-65 that left one seriously injured.
According to a Metro Police affidavit, the woman, Raquel Maldonado, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with injuries from the accident she caused. Maldonado showed signs of being under the influence of a narcotic and had needle marks on her arms. Officers also found a used syringe inside of her vehicle.
The passenger was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after being ejected form the vehicle.
Maldonado was charged with vehicular assault.
