Wilson County donut maker to add 90 jobs, $53 million investment

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A Wilson County company is expanding operations, expecting to add 90 new jobs in part of a $53 million investment.

    Weston Foods announced on Friday an expansion of the Maplehurst Bakeries, LLC operations in Lebanon. The expansion will add two high-speed production lines to the donut bakery. Weson Foods president Luc Mongeau says Tennessee's business climate is "ideal for growth."

    Weston Foods is the largest donut supplier in the U.S., employing 6,000 people and operates 50 bakeries in the U.S. and Canada. The company also is a supplier of Girl Scout cookies.
