White nationalist group again holding conference in Middle Tennessee, protest planned
A white nationalist group will again descend upon middle Tennessee for its yearly conference and plans are already in motion to protest their arrival.
American Renaissance, also known as New Century Foundation, is planning on hosting its 2021 conference from Nov. 12-14 at Montgomery Bell State Park. Their 2020 conference was canceled due to COVID-19.
The theme of the conference is "The Decisive Decade" and is set to feature speakers such as Peter Brimelow, David Cole, Sam Dickson, F. Roger Devlin, Colin Flaherty, Gregory Hood, Ruuben Kaalep, Michelle Malkin and Jared Taylor.
According to Facebook, an "International Antifascist Days of Unity" is calling for a protest as the conference gets underway. Several protesters were arrested outside the conference in years past.
In 2019, Tennessee was ordered to pay AmRen more than $46,000 over a "security fee" charged by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to "ensure public safety. A Nashville judge ruled in favor of AmRen.
