MT. JULIET, Tenn. -- A group of volunteers and about 50 organizations are helping victims of the March 3 tornado.
Reverend Regina Girten is the co-chair for the Recover Wilson Long Term Recovery Relief Team. She said they connect tornado victims to free assistance.
“It’s my hope that the community members know that they’re not alone,” Girten said.
Each victim is assigned to a case manager that sticks with them as they move through recovery.
“It’s not been perfect work,” Girten said. “It’s been perfectly imperfect, but we’re here for the long-haul to continue to be educated on best practices in disaster preparedness.”
