NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) -- One man was walking down a North Nashville street late Thursday night when police say he was shot multiple times.
Police responded to General Hospital for a 22-year-old shooting victim, he advised that he was walking south bound on 16th Avenue North approaching Buchanan Street around 11 p.m. when someone from behind shot him three times, striking his head and arm.
After the shooting, he was stumbling in the street when a passerby checked on him and drove him to General hospital.
The victim was stabilized and then transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time, the investigation is ongoing.
