Two men shot outside East Nashville lounge following altercation, one dies

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A shooting outside an East Nashville lounge leaves one person dead.

The shooting occurred outside the Tryth Lounge, 2919 Dickerson Pike, at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Metro police say a 35-year-old Chancellor Eddins died at the scene after being hit by gunfire.

A verbal altercation inside between Eddins and his friend and another man reportedly led up to shots being fired outside the lounge as they left, according to police. Eddins friend also got hit by gunfire, but has non-life threatening injuries.
