Two Apartment Communities First in Nashville to Go Smoke Free

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Two apartment communities are being lauded for being the first two in Nashville to implement smoke-free policies.

Fallbrook Apartment Community and Riverwood Tower Apartment Community implemented the policies as part of Metro Public Health Department's Breathe Easy Campaign.

In a press release, Tobacco Coordinator for Metro Public Health Department Lillian Maddox-Whitehead says "Currently 206,000 Nashvillians live in apartments in Davidson County and that number is projected to grow. It's estimated that 66% of those residents are exposed to secondhand smoke, while only 29% are smokers themselves."
