NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Tennessee Titans on Wednesday released additional renderings of the $2.1 billion stadium proposed for Nashville.
The stadium would cover 1.7 million square feet and seat around 60,000 people.
The plan for the stadium brings a $2.1 billion price tag which has caused some concerns. While the Titans are calling the proposal a game changer, some worry the $2.1 billion stadium will not be large enough to host big events.
However, the NFL has stated it is large enough to host a Super Bowl, saying "there is no minimum stadium capacity that preludes a stadium from hosting a Super Bowl, America's most-watched event."
Metro Council will continue to have their committee meetings to evaluate the proposal and ask more questions regarding the plan. They’re also going to host community meetings to get the public involved.
