The Tennessee Titans have name Jurrell Casey as the Walter Payton Man of The Year.

Now, the defensive end is in the running for the league-wide NFL Walter Payton Man of The Year award.

That award will be given out during the upcoming Super Bowl week.

“And that’s the biggest thing about it – when you have a wife that encourages you, and pushes you to continue to do better, it inspires you,” Casey said. “And being around her and her family – her mom is one of the most thoughtful and thankful people I’ve ever met in my life. I’ve been around some great, strong women.”

The Titans take on the Jaguars Thursday night in Nashville. The game kicks off at 7:20 p.m. and will broadcast on FOX 17 News.
