Three busted after series of fentanyl-laced heroin overdoes in middle Tennessee

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said three people were arrested in connection with overdoses related to fentanyl-laced heroin.

Robert Ray Yates , Shatika Renee Floyd and Antonio Andre Johnson are facing multiple drug-related charges.

TBI said in November, it started investigating a series of overdoses within Murfreesboro involving fentanyl-laced heroin.

Agents tracked the heroin back to a heroin and methamphetamine distribution ring in middle Tennessee. Search warrants were executed Monday and three suspects were arrested.

Yates is charged with manufacturing, selling a Schedule I drug, manufacturing, selling a Schedule II drug and resisting arrest. He's being held on a $105,000 bond.

Johnson and Floyd are each charged with manufacturing, selling a Schedule II drug and two counts of theft of property. Their bonds were set at $95,000 each.
