Tennessee's medical cannabis bill dead for the year
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
Tennessee's medical marijuana bill is effectively dead for the year.
The bill's sponsor withdrew the Cannabis Oil Only Act in a Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
The sponsor said the votes for the bill as is weren't there, and he felt the bill as amended would put "us in a bad position" as it was "watered-down."
In its original state, the bill would have allowed people with certain health conditions access to cannabis oil.
