Tennessee death row inmate Edmund Zagorski receives last meal

Edmund Zagorski (Tennessee Department of Corrections)

Tennessee death row inmate Edmund Zagorski has received his final meal.

The convicted killer selected pickled pig knuckles and pig tails. The meal was served to Zagorski at 4:10 p.m. Thursday.

In a matter of hours, Tennessee will execute Zagorski in the electric chair. The last execution by electric chair in the state was carried out in 2007.

Zagorski opted for the electric chair instead of lethal injection as his execution method following legal battles.

He was convicted of shooting and slitting the throats of John Dotson and Jimmy Porter, of Robertson County, during a marijuana deal in 1983. Governor Bill Haslam denied clemency for Zagorski on October 5.
