Memphis Police

Police say the tables were turned on a Tennessee robber when he was shot by his own gun.

Memphis detectives said a victim was able to get a hold of a gun during a robbery along Broadcrest Drive, FOX 13 reported.

Suspect Deandre Nolen went to rob another man, when a fight ensued and the victim was able to grab Nolen's gun and shoot him in the leg.

Police said the victim also detained Nolen until officers arrived on the scene.

The victim and suspect had known each other for about 10 years, police reported.
