GALLATIN, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Gallatin woman who unearthed a hidden talent for exquisite cupcake decorating is now making it her full-time job.
FOX 17 News' Dennis Ferrier introduced viewers to Katherine Halbeck and her Blooming Kupcakes business last week.
She was furloughed during the pandemic, but out of that adversity bloomed something incredible: discovering her serious decorating skills.

Halbeck does all kinds of custom flowers, one man challenged her to make a passion flower and she delivered. Another customer asked for Bridgerton/Featherington cupcakes based on the popular Netflix show.
Reese Witherspoon was gifted an order from Blooming Kupcakes, wrote about it on Instagram, and her 25 million followers went nuts.
Now, Halbeck is taking her talents full-time beginning in mid-May.
"Thank you all for your support and encouragement as we take on this new and exciting adventure God has us on," she posted on the business' Facebook page.
