SUV connected to Nashville man's murder found

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Metro Nashville Police have found an SUV connected to the death of a man found decomposing at his home on Tuesday.

Police found 30-year-old Daniel Shields dead in his Delaware Avenue residence on Tuesday after responding to a welfare check call by his employer, Trax bar.

He had last been seen alive July 4 at the bar and his employer called police after not seeing him for days. Police found him decomposing and a "bloody apartment."

Police have been searching for a Chevy Trailblazer SUV which was taken from the residence.

The SUV was discovered on Thursday at the Knights Inn at 1111 Bell Road. Police have impounded the vehicle and continue to search for his killer.
