BOOM: Sullivan Tower implodes in Nashville's Gulch area

FOX 17 News

The historic Sullivan Tower in The Gulch was imploded Saturday morning.

The building, located at 9th Avenue North and Commerce Street, came down at 8:30 a.m. CST.

Roads in the area were closed for safety precautions and will remain closed for 30 to 40 minutes after implosion.

This is just the next phase in the ever-changing face of Nashville. In January, the Lifeway Tower was imploded in just under 10 seconds.
