Two people experienced serious injuries in an overnight single-vehicle crash in Smyrna.
The Smyrna Fire Department confirmed to FOX 17 News that one occupant was transported via Life Flight to Vanderbilt. The department said the individual was last known to be in serious, but stable condition.
A second occupant was transported by Rutherford County EMS to Stonecrest with less serious injuries. Emergency personnel responded to a personal injury accident on Almaville Road between Stonewood Drive and Burnt Knob Road, the Smyrna Fire Department announced at around 1:00 a.m.
Almaville Road between Stonewood Drive and Burnt Knob Road was initially expected to be closed for at least three hours, but the department confirmed an additional two hours of road work at around 2:40 a.m.
