Small plane lands on I-40 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A small plane makes an emergency landing in a grassy area on the interstate in Nashville this afternoon.

The plane landed in a median on I-40 W. near the I-65 loop at around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. The plane reportedly also lost a banner that could have caused a vehicle accident, Metro police tell FOX 17 News.

No injuries are reported at this time. Police say there was an initial report of an engine problem.

According to the FAA, the plane is a fixed wing single engine aircraft. It's owned by Wyoming Services, LLC.
