Several businesses burglarized across Nashville early Thursday morning

Gran Fondo's Cycle's Burglary

Police are investigating after several businesses across Nashville are broken into overnight.

Officers first received a call around 3:30 a.m. about several Belle Meade businesses that had been ransacked. Officers responding to the scene on Harding Pike say Gran Fondo bicycles, Michaelangelo's Pizza, and Sperry Mercantile grocer had all been vandalized. We're told that the businesses cash registers were targeted, but no merchandise was taken.

A few hours later around 6 a.m., police received a call about a break-in at a Germantown business on 5th Avenue North. Metro officers say when they got on scene, they found glass broken out at both the Red Bicycle Cafe and the Tempered European Cafe. Both businesses are located across the street from each other, and police say the register was taken from the Red Bicycle Cafe. There's no word on what was taken from the Tempered European Cafe.

Thirty minutes after the Germantown businesses were broken into, police received a call about business burglaries on Lebanon Pike at a Whitt's BBQ, Jersey Mike's, Pizza Hut, and Baskin Robbins.

Right now, there's no word on whether the break-ins are related or not, and all of the incidents are currently under investigation.
