A study from Wallethub ranks Tennessee as the 5th most sinful state in the country.

The personal finance website says they examined data on 43 indicators such as violent crimes per capita, excessive drinking, obesity, percentage of smokers, casinos per capita, and more. They then broke those indicators down into seven dimensions which include anger & hatred, jealousy, excesses & vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness.

Each of the dimensions were then given a maximum value of 14.3 points depending on data outcomes. According to WalletHub, Tennessee ranked 5th overall with 52.42 points. The state was carried by being ranked 1st in 'Anger & Hatred' and 3rd in 'Lust.'

Nevada led all states in the top spot, followed by Florida, California, Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, and Arizona rounding out the Top Ten.
