Report: Armed Memphis sanitation worker shoots would-be robber
MEMPHIS, Tenn.--Memphis Police are investigating a shooting on Monday morning where a city employee says he shot a would-be attacker.
According to FOX 13 Memphis, a wast facility employee was inside a car at the solid waste facility when two suspects came up to him in a robbery attempt.
However, the employee was armed, pulled his weapon and shot one of the suspects. Police say the suspect vehicle was left behind when the other suspect fled on foot.
The suspect who was shot has been transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
