CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — UPDATE: Missing 13-year-old Reese Melton has been found safe, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
A Montgomery County deputy and his K9 Finn discovered Reese in a gully hiding under a fallen tree just a mile and a half from the Rossview School at around 2:21 p.m.
Authorities say she is safe and was checked by EMS at the scene.
Clarksville Police are asking for help finding an autistic child who went missing.
13-year-old Reese Melton is in the area of Rossview School -which she reportedly left- and is considered 'high functioning,' so she understands what is happening.
She is a white female, 5'6" tall with blonde hair, and wearing black jeans, black jacket, and black boots.
Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies are assisting in the search with drones and K9 units. The search perimeter has also been expanded and civilians are assisting with ATVs.
