Police: 1 gunned down at Nashville apartment; teen later killed in suspect-involved crash

UPDATE (10/18/22): There have been six more felony warrants issued Tuesday for Deandre Conway who is accused of shooting a 24-year-old man to death and killing a 17-year-old teenager in a car crash on Gallatin Pike South after trying to flee from the scene on Oct. 13.

Conway was taken into custody Saturday morning on an outstanding homicide warrant for the deadly shooting of 24-year-old Terry Farmer that happened before the crash, Metro Police report.

On top of the charges Conway already sustained from the shooting, he has now been charged with vehicular homicide by recklessness, four counts of aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.

He also was charged with misdemeanor warrants of leaving the scene, failure to give information, failure to comply immediate notice of an accident and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Conway drove a Chevrolet Silverado which crashed into a Toyota Rav4 occupied by five teenagers at Emmitt Avenue as the group was leaving a haunted house tour. 17-year-old Landen Guye was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.

Conway was arrested on Indian Lake Boulevard in Hendersonville Saturday.

UPDATE (10/15/22): Metro Nashville police report that they booked Deandre Conway into jail Saturday morning for Thursday's death of Terry Farmer, after finding him in Hendersonville. He is charged with criminal homicide.

Police say additional charges are expected against Conway for the deadly crash that killed 17-year-old Landen Guye, that occurred while he fled the scene of the homicide.

Metro Nashville Police are searching for a suspect accused of shooting a 24-year-old man to death at an apartment complex Thursday night. When he fled the scene, police say the suspect crashed into a vehicle and killed a teenager.

The shooting was reported around 9:40 p.m. at an apartment complex on Rio Vista Drive. Police say a group of people were gathered in the parking lot when an altercation ensued. Deandre Conway, 23, allegedly shot Terry Farmer multiple times.

Farmer was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

Conway fled the scene in a pickup truck and crashed into a small SUV carrying five teenagers on Gallatin Pike South. Police say the teens had just left a haunted house tour. A 17-year-old, Landen Guye, was killed in the crash. Four other teens were transported with critical injuries.

Police say Conway fled the scene of the crash on foot.
