MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WZTV) — A needle was found in a piece of Halloween candy in Wilson County.
A Mt. Juliet mom reached out to police after she noticed a candy wrapper had been altered.
She opened the package to find a needle inside the piece of candy. A photo of the candy shows the needle was located in a Life Savers gummy.
Police say the mom does not live in the city limits and it's unclear where the candy was obtained.
Officers are asking everyone to check their Halloween candy regardless of where you live.
