NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- (WZTV) -- The woman charged with killing her girlfriend in Madison appeared in court today.
29-year-old Kirsty Geary appeared before a judge this morning on the criminal homicide charge.
Geary is accused of stabbing 24-year-old Ashley Yarbrough to death, January 21st. 2019 during an argument.
According to our Fox 17 News Photojournalist who was inside the courtroom today, a witness took the stand and said that Yarbrough was staying at her the night she was killed.
During the fight the witness heard Yarbrough yelling that she was hurt.
The witness says, " I opened the door, I saw blood and Ashley was holding her leg."
According to police, Ashley Yarbrough was found at the bottom of a stairwell in the C Building at Neely's Bend Condominiums.
A judge bound over the case to a grand jury and set a new bond of $200,000.
