Nashville woman arrested for having marijuana near her toddler

A Nashville woman has been arrested for endangering her child on Monday.

According to a Metro Police affidavit, the suspect, Amber Prince, stated that she was smoking marijauna in a closet with the door cracked, her child, a one-year-old, being only a few feet away in the same room with the door shut.

Officers say the smoke was very thick in the room and the whole house smelled of marijuana. The child's bed was next to a dresser that contained drug paraphernalia, scissors to cut up marijuana, and marijuana shake. A marijuana blunt was also found on the floor of the closet.

The child would easily be able to ingest marijuana since it was so close by.

Prince was charged with child endangerment.
