CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A suspect is still on the loose after shooting 20 rounds into a Cheatham County home.
The residence was occupied by seven people including three small children at the time of the shooting, deputies report.
The suspect has been identified as Christopher Kent Whitaker. A total of nine warrants have been issued for the suspect’s arrest.
The suspect's vehicle was seen traveling at a high speed towards Davidson County when police started to pursue the vehicle.
The suspect evaded law enforcement within Davidson County, and then fled on foot after crashing his car somewhere in the county.
The suspects whereabouts are unknown at this time, as well as what, if any, vehicle he is currently driving.
Charges against Whitaker include aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Interstate Circle in Cheatham County on Sunday, May 21 around 7:30 a.m.
