Nashville Sounds host auction to raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief

The Nashville Sounds announced an online auction throughout the rest of the season to raise money for victims of Hurricane Harvey relief.

The Sounds said the jersey and memorabilia auction will raise money for relief efforts in Houston, Corpus Christi and other surrounding areas.

All home white jerseys with the Sounds are up for auction until Sept. 4, including an autographed Rickey Henderson jersey and an autographed team bat.

Anyone wishing to make a cash donation can follow this link.

The Sounds plan to match donations raised up to $10,000 and said all monetary donations will go to the Houston Astros Hurricane Relief Fund.

The Sounds are also accepting clothing, diaper and water donations at all remaining home games.

The team has several ties to Texas including Pitcher Daniel Mengden, who is a Houston resident.
