NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — UPDATE:
Nashville police have arrested a Lyft driver accused of assaulting a country singer in an argument over a missed turn.
Police said Albert Boakye is charged with misdemeanor assault after he allegedly "removed" a passenger from his vehicle on Highway 70 South on June 25.
The victim, identified by police as Dunn. told police Boakye became angry after missing a turn, stopped on the side of road, and "forcibly removed her from the vehicle." He's also accused of grabbing the passenger's neck and throwing her to the ground.
MNPD said the victim sustained bruises to her neck and lacerations to her head.
Boakye fled the scene after the incident.
He's since been arrested and is now free on $1,000 bond.

Metro Police are searching for a 46-year-old Lyft driver accused of physically assaulting a female passenger during an argument over a missed turn back in June.
