Nashville airport has record number passengers for 5th year in a row

The Nashville International Airport broke the record this year for amount of passengers served in a fiscal year, surpassing 2017 number's by 10 percent.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) announced that BNA served more than 14.9 million passengers from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 making this the fifth consecutive year that a new record has been set for passengers.

June 2018 set another record for the airport with over one million passengers, that is a 11.1 percent increase from June 2017.

“The astounding passenger growth continues at Nashville International Airport, maintaining BNA’s position as one of the fastest growing airports in North America,” Doug Kreulen, MNAA president and CEO said, “Per our forecast, solid growth is expected to continue, so it is imperative we continue to plan for our future needs. Our Board of Commissioners and staff are focused on expanding and renovating BNA, including adding additional air service, to ensure Nashville’s airport is a world-class transportation hub.”
