A letter from a mysterious sender sparking debate across a number of gay bars in Nashville.

The owner of Stirrup Sports Bar says they've received hate mail.

The other day the bar received a piece of mail that had the LGBT acronym with pictures depicting liberty, guns, beer and President Trump.

The owner, Melvin Brown, says it's irritating someone would send such a letter. The image of a gun over the “G” especially makes him angry.

“They chose to use an image of the weapon that was used in one of the largest massacres in American history at the Pulse Nightclub,” Brown told FOX 17 News. “Was it somebody that is sending it from a hateful place? Was it somebody trying to use it as a motivating factor with the midterm elections coming up, which is a huge possibility.”

Brown says other gay bars in town have also called him, saying they received the same image in their mail.

He says it's motivating the LGBTQ community to get out and vote.
