NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Nashville firefighters are warning folks of how fast the inside of a car can heat up after rescuing a pup from a possible hot car on Friday.
The fire department posted photos of the dog on Twitter.
The tweet said the parking stamp in the paid lot showed the dog had been inside for at least 40 minutes. Nashville's temperature Friday was 87 degrees.
"Please remember it can take just minutes for a car’s internal temp. to soar to well over 100 degrees," the Nashville Fire Department tweeted.
Crews got the little guy some water and Metro Animal Care and Control responded to the scene.
