NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Nashville Mayor John Cooper announced Tuesday the city is extending the closure of all bars and restrictions on transpotainment vehicles until mid-August.
Mayor Cooper said these closures and restrictions have been extended until at least midnight on Aug. 16.
The 10 p.m. curfew for all restaurants has no end date right now. Nashville will remain in a modified Phase Two of reopening for the time being.
"Nashville remains in serious, but stable condition," Mayor Cooper said during a news briefing Tuesday.

But, officials said there is some silver lining. Evidence shows that Nashville's efforts against COVID-19 may be paying off.
Nashville's 14-day case trend turned yellow for the first time Tuesday morning, dropping from 397 on July 4 to 342. Nashville's transmission rate is meeting its goal for the first time in weeks. It currently sits at .99.
“One wrong move, one brief moment of distraction, and we will lose our bearings. We must hold on to the progress we’ve made,” Mayor Cooper said.
There's currently a mask mandate in effect in Nashville and many surrounding counties.
