Mom charged after 6-year-old daughter transported for severe injuries in Nashville crash
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) -- A woman is facing charges of vehicular assault after she's accused of driving under the influence with her 6-year-old child in the car.
Tracy McCracken, 32, was driving down Paragon Mills Road around 6 p.m. when police say she swerved into the opposite lane of traffic and struck another vehicle.
The other vehicle involved fled the scene, but three people were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for severe injuries, including McCracken's 6-year-old daughter, according to a Metro police affidavit.
The affidavit reads that they took McCracken into custody for driving under the influence.
She has been charged with driving on a revoked license, implied criminal consent and vehicular assault. She is booked at the Davidson County jail on a $53,500 bond.
