The community is rallying behind a Mt. Juliet High School football player after a "freak injury" during practice.

Jorie Green is in ICU 2 after suffering from a laceration of his spleen.

Mt. Juliet Football tweeted that it happened during a physical practice on Tuesday.

The football team is asking "our program, community, & football kindred to say a prayer for Jorie Green."
