Light snow, rain possible in Middle Tennessee this week

Middle Tennessee is in for a wild week of weather with rain, and yes, the possibly of light snow by the end of the week.

The week will begin with rain and a chance of thunderstorms overnight Monday and into rush hour Tuesday morning. Monday afternoon and evening will also be quite breezy, with wind gusts up to 33 miles per hour. These will not be severe storms, but a few folks could hear some thunder.

Then the cold front comes in. Highs will drop to the low 40s by the end of the week and overnight lows will be into the low 20s and teens.

Meteorologist Craig Edwards said with cold temperatures to round off the week – there’s even a possibility of snow. Friday could see a hint of snow and a possible dusting in a few locations. The cold, and possible snow showers, will continue to Saturday morning.
