Recent data shows that Middle Tennessee counties are among those with more than a 25% growth across the state since 2010.

According to the Assessor of Property at Rutherford County, these countries with a growth over 25% include:

  • Williamson County with a 39.95% growth
  • Rutherford County with 34.69% growth
  • Wilson County with a 35.83% growth
  • Montgomery County with a 27.07% growth
  • Maury with a 26.56% growth
  • Sumner with a 25.71% growth

Lauderdale County experienced the greatest population loss with a growth rate of -8.82% which brought its population down to 25,274.

Trousdale County had a 52.87% increase due to a large correctional detention facility being built there.
