NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A study conducted by an insurance quote and comparison company have ranked the best and worst Tennessee cities for drivers.
Using data on the state's 50 largest cities, Quote Wizard analysts examined incident rates which included crashes, speeding tickets, DUIs, and citations from over 90,000 insurance quotes.
Analysts found the state as a whole ranked as the 27th-worst for drivers but what city you live in makes a difference.
The best cities for drivers was Germantown, followed by Gallatin, Dyersburg, Cleveland, Jackson, Kingsport, La Vergne, Cookeville, Morristown, and McMinnville rounding out the top ten. Other Middle Tennessee cities which made the 'best driving' list included Nashville (19) and Brentwood (21).
As for the worst cities to drive, several Middle Tennessee cities were at the top of the list. The worst in the state was Dickson, followed by Arlington, Portland, Lakeland, Franklin, White House, Red Bank, Tullahoma, Farragut, and Hendersonville as the ten worst. Others were not far behind, with Goodlettsville ranking 11th, followed by Shelbyville, Mount Juliet, Smyrna, and Murfreesboro all finishing out the 15 worst.
