Metro Police trying to ID robber who pulled knife on Family Dollar clerk

Metro Police are trying to identify a robber than said pulled a knife on a clerk during a hold-up at Family Dollar.

It happened about 4:25 p.m. Tuesday at the store along Gallatin Pike.

Police said the robber held a knife to the clerk's stomach as they were ringing in a bogus purchase. The robber took cash from the register and fled.

The robber is described as a white man who wore a gray jacket with "Snap On" written across the back, black pants and white shoes.
