Metro Police raided a business on Tuesday and seized items believed to be stolen.

Police raided N & P Discount Tobacco & Beer Market following a three-month investigation. Cigarettes, energy drinks, laundry detergent, batteries, various clothing items and a pistol was seized during the raid at the 3002 Clarksville Pike store.

Police said owner, operator Nabih Zaher, 59, is accused to have purchased merchandise from a police operative who clearly represented the items as being stolen. Zaher paid the operative a third what the merchandise was worth, police said.

Charges are expected against Zaher.

Kroger Organized Retail Crime personnel assisted in the investigation.
