Metro Nashville officer decommissioned after fight with friend in La Vergne
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
Metro Nashville Police said a 15-year veteran was decommissioned after a fight over the weekend in La Vergne.
MNPD Sgt. Jason Wilkerson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on Sunday. Police said the arrest happened after a fight with a friend turned physical. Both Wilkerson and his male friend live in La Vergne.
Wilkerson is a 15-year veteran with the MNPD, who supervised the Central Precinct's crime suppression unit of undercover detectives.
The MNPD's Office of Professional Accountability is conducting an administrative investigation into Wilkerson's arrest.
